Michelle Evason, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
A specialist in internal medicine, Dr. Michelle Evason has practiced medicine at Tufts VETS since 2006. Dr. Evason is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and has a special interest in the field of veterinary emergency and critical care.
A native of Canada, Dr. Evason earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and English. She completed her veterinary education at Western College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She then went on to complete an internship at Veterinary Specialists of Rochester from 2000 to 2001 and, later, a two year residency in internal medicine at Western College of Veterinary Medicine from 2002 to 2004.
Dr. Evason has been published in the American Journal of Veterinary Research and the Canadian Veterinary Journal. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society and the New Hampshire Veterinary Medical Association.
When she's not busy with her duties at the hospital, Dr. Evason enjoys hiking, running and spending time with friends and family. She shares her home with two dogs and a cat.
