Ariane Goerlich, DVM

Dr. GoerlichEmergency and Critical Care Veterinarian, Dr. Ariane Goerlich has been practicing at Tufts VETS since October of 2001. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care medicine, pain management, internal medicine and ophthalmology.

After graduating with a Baccalaureate in 1988, Dr. Goerlich attended veterinary school at Tierarztliche Fakultat der Ludwig Maximilians Universitat in Munich, Germany and was awarded her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Following veterinary school, she completed several internships, both in Germany and in the United States. Before her arrival at Tufts VETS, Dr. Goerlich practiced veterinary medicine in Munich, Germany and Wellesley, MA.

A recipient of MVMA's Continuing Education Award, Dr. Goerlich is also a member of the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. She has also taught problem based learning classes at Tufts University.

Dr. Goerlich's hobbies include gardening, hiking, running, biking, horse back riding, reading and watching movies with her husband, Bill, and son, Benjamin. Their extended family includes Balou, a border collie/dalmatian cross (and a hearing dog for her son), domestic shorthair felines, Jeannie and Snowflake, and a standard bred horse, Marquise.
