Christine R. Rutter, DVM
A resident in emergency and critical care at Tufts VETS since 2006, Dr. Christine R. Rutter originally hails from Biloxi, Missouri. Dr. Rutter attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Her professional interests include trauma, surgery, anesthesia and pain management.
Before practicing medicine at Tufts VETS, Dr. Rutter was an associate veterinarian at a private veterinary hospital in Florida from 2003 to 2005. She also completed an internship in emergency and critical care at the Louisville Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services in Kentucky from 2005 to 2006.
Dr. Rutter is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. When she's not busy with her duties at the hospital, Dr. Rutter usually can be found near water, either canoeing, fishing or scuba diving. She also enjoys hiking and traveling and creating stained glass art. Her animal companions include dogs Honey Dew and Indiana and a cat named Clarice, all of whom are rescue animals.
