Kristin Welch, DVM
Emergency and critical care veterinarian Dr. Kristin Welch has special interests in trauma and cardiovascular disorders.
Dr. Welch attended Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She also was awarded both the Small Animal Clinical Proficiency Award and the Wade O. Brinker Surgery Award during her last year of veterinary school.
Dr. Welch completed an internship in medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine from 2005 to 2006 and a residency in emergency and critical care at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine from 2006 to 2008. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Welch enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, a fellow emergency veterinarian. Her hobbies include running, reading, skiing and gardening.
